For over 24 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in law enforcement, dedicating my career to protecting my community and the people I serve. As a Lieutenant and the Commander of the Electronic Crimes Task Force (E.C.T.F.) at the Horry County Sheriff’s Office, my work revolves around digital forensics, mobile device analysis, and cybersecurity — but it’s not just about the technology. It’s about using the tools at my disposal to make the world a safer place, one case at a time.
I’ve always been drawn to the challenge of solving complex problems, especially those that impact people’s lives in profound ways. The world has changed drastically with the advent of digital technology, and so have the threats we face. From investigating cybercrimes to responding to security breaches, I see my work as part of a larger mission to empower individuals, organizations, and communities to understand and protect themselves from digital risks.
Beyond my work in investigations, I’m passionate about public education. I speak regularly on the dangers posed by mobile applications, online exploitation, and the growing issue of human trafficking. It’s something I care deeply about — and as a father and a professional, I believe it’s critical to raise awareness in every community.
My career is grounded in service, and every day, I am motivated by the belief that we can create safer digital spaces and informed, empowered communities. Whether through a forensic analysis, incident response, or an educational presentation, I aim to make a difference.
In addition to my role with the Sheriff’s Office, I am involved with several prestigious organizations, including the U.S. Secret Service Cyber Fraud Task Force (C.F.T.F.), the South Carolina Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (I.C.A.C.) Task Force, and the Coastal Region Human Trafficking Task Force. I also hold the position of Special Deputy U.S. Marshal, which allows me to execute federal warrants.
Throughout my career, I have worked on a variety of digital forensics and cybercrime investigations, collaborating with agencies such as the FBI, DEA, SLED, and numerous local law enforcement departments. My expertise in mobile and computer forensics has also led me to teach Cellebrite certification courses, training law enforcement and military personnel, including members of the U.S. Marine Corps and NCIS.
If you’re seeking guidance or support, whether through digital investigations, expert testimony, or awareness-building efforts, I’m here to help.
